Groundwater Contamination
REGIONAL GROUNDWATER FLOW PATTERNS IN THE VICINITY OF THE CIBA SITE
Look at flow before and after GERS implementation
Focus on three particular areas:
-Flow patterns in the vicinity of the Toms River
-Flow patterns in the vicinity of the Oak Ridge subdivision
-Flow patterns in the vicinity of Pine Lake Park subdivision
PURPOSE for Developing a Flow Model for OU I
-define of the groundwater flow dynamics in the vicinity of the site
-design GERS and assess performance
Data requirements (and data source) for the groundwater flow model
-geology (borings, monitor wells, United States Geological Survey)
-precipitation (United States Geological Survey)
-ground water levels (monitor wells)
-river levels (United States Geological Survey gage stations)
-pumping well rates (operational records)
